Anupam Saikia

Anupam is a Painter, Visual Artist, and Art Educator, exploring multidisciplinary methods along with around 10 years of experience in Performance Art; he is practicing Body as a medium exploring new areas, and methods, with time and context/site specificity. He is based in Guwahati and currently working as Lecturer in Govt. College of Art & Crafts, Assam. His live actions and exhibitions took place in Basel/Switzerland, Malmo, Sweden, Pan Asia/Korea, Istanbul Performance art’s Platform, Bangladesh, and many places/Galleries in India. He has been participating as a performance artist at Kochi Biennale 2016, Morni Hills Performance Art Biennale II 2018, and Kolkata International Performance art festival (KIPAF) from 2016 to 2020 and working as an Associate Curator at KIPAF 2019. Indeed, he successfully finished a Performance project cum residence, Srinagar Biennale Basel- in Switzerland in 2018. He is one of the Former founder members of the Anga art collective.
